Deck it out peeps. Soul Caliber? Tekken? Street Fighter? Samuri Shodown? Dead or Alive? What do you think is better and why?

I grew up playing Mortal Kombat. It used to rock. Not sure about new installments, haven't played it in years.
I was also a fan of what DOA I played. It was a lot of fun.
I played soul calibur, and it looked like a failed attempt to mix DOA, Mortal Kombat, and street fighter.
Ever played....Bushido 2? Playstation 1 game, real old. It was an awesome samurai fighting game. I loved it. Wish I had it.
Never played Tekken so...blah
OH!! And I almost forgot to mention Super Smash Brothers. It was pretty good too XD Not sure about the new one, but the original was cool.

I didn't see it in Soul Calibur either....Mortal Komba wasn't so bad in the early days. As it progressed, it got worse about that kind of stuff =(
Not sure why they put Solid Snake in the new one, I agree that wasn't a bright decision.
You have me wanted to play DOA just so I can watch Katsumi now, Elmo...thanks....

well, if we're counting it ... I'm gonna with Smash Bros.
And then I'm going old school and saying Street Fighter 'cause I always loved that one (and MK was not allowed in my house when me and bro were little) Street Fighter 2 was the closest we got.
X-Men Mutant Academy wasn't bad for the PS to be honest. Besides, if you had the code, you could get Spiderman. Oh, and does anyone remember Shaqfu? That was ridiculous, getting to fight as Shaq.

MK was okay back in the day, the later installments got rather sick and repetative without adding anything new to the game, except updated graphics...
DoA I loved from what I played of it. I seriously almost bought an Xbox for the new ones. If I get an Xbox 360 sometime, then I will be investing into this series.
Smash Bros. was original and a lot of fun. I found some of the animations hilarious. It was very original and a lot of fun.
Never realyl played Street Fighter a lot. I played it a few times and pretty much owned all my friends that I played against...(Then again, in every game except Halo I do that....Seriously, Halo has some messed up game physics. I talked to another friend who rocks your socks at Battlefield 2/SOCOM and he said he had the same problem I did. And this is a guy who could play either of the other two games and be expected to go at least like 10/3 on small maps. And I usually kept up with his kill count had a few more deaths though. Sometimes I beat him. But we were usually in the race for MVP.)

Thanks Moog, for mentioning Streets of Rage. My bro and I would play that for hours when the 'rents let us rent a sega from the video store. It was right up there in playing time with Sonic 2.
