What is your preferred gametype? Do you like the action, the puzzlesolving, the cutsy games?
Do you like first person shooters, hack and slash, fighting, or turnbased more?
Do you like a full and complete storyline with the one hour long cutscenes or a basic game of kill, kill, kill?
Do you like games where you have to think your way through and notice everything or just sit down and playing?
Do you prefer campaign modes or going online and and decking it out with a few buddies?
Do you prefer single playered games or Coop mission?

Variety and moderation are key for me. In otherwords, I like a litte of this and a little of that.
However, I think when a game can combine the finer elements of one style with the finer elements of another style, that's when a truely great game is produced.
For example, action games with great fighting engines such as God of War and the Devil May Cry series that carry good storylines like we'd expect from an RPG.
Or RPGs that integrate the nice live-action fighting, such as Star Ocean: Til the End of Time or Kingdom Hearts.
Single player is always fun when you're bored and need something to do. However, Co-op/online is a nice feature. You get to interact with other people and make the pasttime of gaming a social event as well.
Blood or no blood, well that depends on the game. Some games just overdo it, and some games it's like "Okay, you know he would've been coughing up some blood." However, we have to also consider the audience that's playing a certain game, in which cases sometimes its good for that game not to have blood, or okay for some to have it.
