If you knit and crochet or just want to learn, here's the place to post.

So yeah, I really hope I'm not the only person who knits on this board. Then I'll just feel silly.
But anyways. I'm trying to decide what I want to knit first (once I get paid). I should probably ask my roommate if she would appreciate getting something knitted for her birthday. Otherwise, I want to knit this awesome scarf/scawl called Clapotis. You can see the pattern and some pictures later (since the site is down at the moment).

My Mom has tried to show me how to crochet numerous times after I've asked her a little more than a few times. Alas, I've never been able to crochet. She does it so fast and has been doing it for ages that I can't seem to get past holding the things right. It also doesn't help that I'm not very patient when it comes to crocheting. My sister had shown me how to knit a few times. The last time she actually taught me and showed me how to do it. And a happy YAY from me because I actually did it!!! ;D I've only made one very thin and very small scarf, but I'm so proud of it! It came out pretty well too, especially for a first attempt. Unfortunately it's also my last attempt.... at least for now...

I go to school with some girls who can. It's growing to be more and more popular all the time around my school. My favorite teacher had a scarf she made that we always played with in class, lol. Personally, it's not my thing. Although I admire the people who have the patience and ability to do it. They make pretty things =P

My sister has knitted me a bunch of stuff to date now... I'll try and get pics of some of my favorites and post them here.
Mental note: *don't froget to take a pic and post in thread* lol...
