Obviously here in America it has gone sky high over the past few years, more than doubling in under 10. At some times, even getting up to 3x as high.
So how do you guys feel about it? How does it affect you personally? What do you think should be done to fix it?

I think they should cap gas prices because it's getting ridiculous, my state has been talking about possibly opening up an ethanol plant but i hear you cant use it in most cars, it takes like 30 dollars to fill my tank....and is it me or does this gas seem to be burning faster??

30 dollars?! I wish that's all it took me! lol. I run a 302, 5.0L engine, so I go through my gas, lol.
But yeah, gas money doesn't go as far as it used to. I remember when 30 dollars basically did fill mine up.
I agree that it should be capped...a helluva lot lower priced than it is now. This is just inflation because the oil companies want more money. No need for it to be this outrageously high. I mean, Venezuela or some place has like 10 cent a gallon gas. We have dang near 3 dollar a gallon gas. Inflation, anyone??
Yeah...it just makes me sick to think about it anymore...

Meh. It's not that bad... at least compared to other countries... particularly those of the European area. I drive at least three days of the week. Gas around here has been about $3.60ish depending where you go. The car I drive has fairly good milage, especially when its highway driving. Unfortunately I don't drive highway regularly. Not too bad... Still no holes being burned in there... yet. Haha. Naw, it's still alright. It would be great to see it back to the prices when I had first started driving, but that is highly unlikely. Until then, I'm content with trading off with the sis for who fills the gas tank when. We trade off. What number octane do you use? Meh. Don't like th prices, go buy and drive an electric car or even a hybrid. Not only will you save some money, but also the planet. ;D Or... *Copied from a thread at Legacy* Their trip is finished, but its still a great story so I thought I'd share... Meet the Canola Strollas. They just might be coming to a city near you.
Check out their website: myspace.com/canolastrollas
Sara and Aislinn wanted to see the US this summer and they decided to do it in a veggie van. What is that you ask? Its a van that runs off of Vegetable Oil. I call it a hippy van, its got beds in the back and stars on the ceiling.

"Don't like th prices, go buy and drive an electric car or even a hybrid."
I wouldn't trust those stupid things to make it out of my driveway without screwing up...
You're lucky you only have to drive about 3 days a week, I usually have to drive 5 to 7. So when my truck is half-arsed on gas milage, and I live in Bumf**kEgypt where the nearest thing is like 20 miles away, you can see how that'd start to build up really quick...
If gas gets to 3.60 here, I'll stop driving. I'll walk or ride with someone else who can afford that, because I sure as hell can't....

I wouldn't trust those stupid things to make it out of my driveway without screwing up... Actually the hybrids are really good. I'm not sure about the purely electric, but I've heard great things about the hybrids. When I went in for a checkup before my last road trip, there was a lady who had just recently bought a new Toyota hybrid. I was talking with some of the guys there and sales for hybrids had been increasing almost exponentially. They have great milage. And supposedly are extremely reliable. Even if the electric aspect or part is shoddy, you still have the regular as its a hybrid. If you're serious about it thought, I'd definitely do some research and look into it. It's a great option. Haha... how much is the average where you are?

a little under 3 bucks. It was 2.85 earlier today.
Hybrids....blah...still kinda skeptical about them. I mean they cost too much, not like I can afford a new vehicle, normal or hybrid. Also, if I pay for the electric part, I dang well want it to work. I don't want the "if it's broke you still have a normal car" part. If that's what I want, I pay for a normal car...

Indeed, it's down to about 2.20 here, versus about 2.80something a few weeks ago. =D it's been going down about a dime a week lately, and it can continue to do so!
