Okay, does anyone else feel that as America progresses, year by year, that we are losing more and more of our rights, and that the constitution is being disregarded by the government who feels that it has the right to do what it pleases?
Or do you disagree and think they're perfectly within their rights to do what they've been doing. (Such as trying to restrict right to bear arms, invasions of privacy, trying to limit our ability to practice religion, such and so forth.)
Personally, I feel as though the constitution might as well not exist. In it's current state, America in all honesty is a glorified socialist government with elections that we don't matter in, just a small number of people in the electoral college matter. (which is BS because they don't even have to vote the majority from their district!!!) and we have a capitalist economy. AKA the government doesn't own all the businesses. But as far as our rights go, America is just a glorified socialism these days in my opinion.
So I want to see what you guys think about it. Is the constitution useless these days, or is it still as important as ever?
