If you get a map and draw a line from Bermuda to Puerto Rico, another from Puerto Rico to Miami and a third from Miami back to Bermuda, you will have mapped out one of the most mysterious areas in the modern world. Why have thousands of ships and planes disappeared in this area. Is there really a Time Vortex whipping vessels, and people, away, never to be seen again? Why do compasses react so wildly in this particular area of the Sargasso Sea? Discuss.

I believe they get lost due to magnetic interference due to it's location, honestly. I believe that's why the gauges are unreadable and such, and the controls on a plane stop reacting, etc etc. The magnetism of the metals is screwed up. Ships sink because the metallic properties of their hull are compromised and fill with water.
That's what I think. I don't think there's anything myserious about it, just the result of gravity and magnetic attraction and that just happens to be where it's located on the map.

How would that account for the many sailing yachts and Catamarans, vessels with fibre glass hulls, that have also gone missing? What's more, one of the most famous cases, the flight of the five P-45's Mustangs, couldn't have been affected by Magnetics because the Mustangs were made of Aluminium, which isn't magnetic. There have also been reports of strange green clouds, flashing lights and other anomalies been reported in the area. Could magnetics also account for these?

The lights, yes, not sure about clouds.
For the flight: Did they crash? Because even though the hull is made of aluminum the controls and inner workings probably weren't, and if the magnetic field is that strong then it could affect them inside the alumnium.
As for the ships...I'm unsure. My best bet would be to say that they got lost, but eventually they would have to come out of the Triangle and could then signal help....I don't know...
