Yes, I do believe that there is Fate. Or rather that everything happens for a reason. I believe that extremely strongly, like, with all my heart. Conversely, I also believe that people make choices that change their lives. SO i believe there are millions of paths you can take that lead you to a few big things in your life that are meant to happen, and depending on your choices is how you get there.
but everything big and small is meant to happen.

Nope, and nope.
Things happen for a reason, but it's a cause and effect relationship. Action and Consequence. This happens as a result of that, which happened as a result of that, and it's one big continuous chain. There are infinate possibilities, but the one that happens is a matter of choice, and many choices make up the existance and life we know.
It's more simply put, the result of free will. Also why I don't believe in fate or destiny is my religious belief. If it were the case, that would mean that God destined people to do sinful and horrible things, for which they would be sent to hell. And I strongly disagree with that idea, believing that he made us with free will, and those acts are made of that free will.
So everything does happen for a reason, but that reason is the consequence of another decision or action. Not because it was predetermined in fate/destiny or whatever you want to call it.
I also believe in coincidence. It's just the result of multiple causes having the same effect or some such. Like if some guy I go to school with has a shirt just like mine, that's coincidence. He chose to buy it on his own, not knowing I had it. It just happened that way, thus is coincidence. And I believe it can happen on a much larger scale.
That's my belief on it anyways.
Hope I explained it clearly. If not ask and I'll try to explain better. (its 3am, my grammar and coherency are down about 70%)
