Doctor Who fans, here's the place to discuss the show (old and new versions).

Okay, so did anyone see the season finale (for season one, in case anyone has seen season two, lucky!)? Oh my gosh!
Has anyone seen the old episodes? I'm new to Doctor Who, so I was curious to see how the series was before now.

I did see the season finale of Doctor Who and I almost thought they weren't going to do it and then bam! It happened! I've only ever seen that happen once before (in the old series, back when Peter Davison was leaving and Colin Baker was coming in). So, yeah, I was expecting it, but I almost thought they weren't gonna do it. Ahh, love David Tennant already and now we gotta wait who knows how long!
Um, lets see, the Daleks are a carryover from the old series. They showed up now and then so it was good to see them back and they're resurrecting a bunch of things from the old series for season 2 of the new series. I'm super excited about the 3rd episode because there's a bonus for Buffy fans ... won't spoil that one for you other than that though ...
Any other questions, let me know and I'll see what I can do. I've seen several old episodes (Mostly the Tom Baker and Peter Davison days).

I've been watching Doctor Who since I was a kid (and that's a long time believe me). The old Doctor Who, back when Jon Pertwee was the Doc, was all rubber monsters and wobbly sets. Funnily enough, none of that mattered back then because you got so engrossed in the story that you hardly noticed the walls shake when someone closed the door. The sets, as well as the effects, did get better over time. But one thing that remained consistent was the story telling. Doctor Who always had good stories in it. They were always exciting and even a little freaky at times. And that's something that, I'm glad to say, has stayed with the modern series. I live in the UK, so I'm currently watching, what you reffered to as, the second season. I promise you, if you enjoyed the first season, the second won't disapoint. David Tennant makes an excellant Doc, the effects are some of the best I've ever seen for a British show and the stories are just as good, if not better, in this season. Also, keep your eyes open for a show called Torchwood. It's kind of a spin-off of Doctor Who. Although, as far as I know, the Doc isn't actually in it, it is set in the Doctor Who universe and does have Captain Jack in it.

I have to say, I love David Tennant as the "new new Doctor." He's amazing. Christopher Eccelston was amazing too, don't get me wrong, but Tennant ... drool
Okay, enough being girly, lol. The new season (2 obviously since I'm US) is great. I couldn't be happier and next week: K-9 (squee!) and one of my all time fave Buffy actors! Yep, I'm excited.

'Tis on tomorrow night, Seffy and I'm super excited. I really enjoyed last week which was "Tooth and Claw." Sci-Fi threw me for a bit of a loop though with BSG starting 'cause they advertised the new eps of that instead of showing a preveiw for next week's Doctor Who like they usually do. I had to go look it up to be sure, but yep, it's on. I can't wait!

Ok, I'm zoned out on Doctor Who. I got the last dvd of season one, completing the season, today and me and Shaun (my youngest son and fellow Doctor Who fanatic) had a Doc marathon. There is no better way of spending a rainy day. Loved it.

ooh, sounds fun seffy. I get another new ep tonight, so I'm stoked. Also, last week's was so good I watched it like 3 times in two days. K9 totally made me smile. Good old K9, that and Anthony Head made me laugh because he totally reminded me of the demons from Buffy. Seemed kind of funny. Anyway, great ep last week. I'm expecting this week'll be good too. Cybermen return next week!

We're about halfway through season 2 here in the US. "Rise of the Cybermen" aired last Friday so we'll get the second half this Friday. And I really hope Torchwood gets picked up over here because I hear it's pretty sweet!

Torchwood is brilliant Wilers my sweet. Personally, I reckon if Sci-fi picked up Doctor Who, they'll deffinately pick up Torchwood. It would just be plain silly not to. Then again, we 'are' talking about Sci-fi, start panicking. ;D

yeah, that's why I'm panicking, Seffy ... I'm still in shock that they picked up Doctor Who, and it's been over half a year.
