I thought this book actually rocked. I mean I could actually identify with the girls written about, and it's a non-fiction book, written by an actual person who stayed at Claymoore, a mental Institution with a bunch of other girls in the 60's. The book was written by Susanna Kaysen, and she actually went through all of what she wrote in her book. A lot of what she felt and saw I do at this point in my life, so I could really identify with her. It was a well written account of what she went through and how she dealt with it. She also described the other girls whom she stayed with, but their names have been changed. This book is a must read and it's a short 200 page book.

I saw the movie before I read the book as I hadn't heard of the book prior. I thought the book was great as well. I don't know about "relating" per say, but in a sense... yeah. That's one thing I liked about it... It was similar to why I like Catcher In the Rye, but... different. I don't really know how to explain it, but if you haven't read it check it out. It's worth the read. And its short.
