Star Wars or Star Trek get you excited? Or maybe it's the Matrix Trilogy? Or, you could be a little more obscure and like the Evil Dead Trilogy . . . discuss movie series here, including Harry Potter, Blade, and Scream among other things.

Star Wars owns. Stark Trek is alright.
I only watched the first Matrix, but I liked it.
HP was okay, the books > the movies. Blade I saw the first 2. The first one was good, the 2nd one was okay, and I haven't even watched the third one yet.
Scream isn't a horror film, it's a comedy. I laugh at that movie every time.
Butttt on to why I came in here to post. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS!
Yeah, it's a series too. 3 movies, I'd say it qualifies. I just watched Tokyo Drift, the newest one, the other night and it owns! Drifting is some hardcore stuff. I mean on my Need for Speed, I can get some carts that'll run a drag race fast enough to blow your skin off your face, but drifting is so much harder. I wreck a lot during them compared to other races. For those who don't know: a drift is a race where you have to slide your vehicle. There are certain points, curves in the race that if you don't slide your vehicle or slow way down, you won't make it. So the idea is to be able to slide your vehicle through these spots while maintaining an extremely fast speed that you probably shouldn't do on a straight highway, much less around curves.
Anyways, the movie rocked. It's fairly independant from the first 2 films, so if you didn't like them, this story is fresh and not connected. (Well except that Han, one of the main characters, used to roll with Vin Deisel (Sp on his name?) in the first one, but it doesn't really bring that up until the very end.) It does hold the theme of organized underground racing still. The kid from Sling Blade and The War is the main character (Except he's a lot older now. I don't think he had a main role in The War, and not sure about Sling Blade). It's funny to listen to him talk, because even as southern as I am, I can hear his accent big time. The movie has some good action scenes, especially when they're running through the streets of Tokyo, drifting around corners in crowded intersectons and swirving in and out of a -lot- of traffic. But for all the action, it maintains a good story.
It left me saying one thing though, that I still say everytime I think about that movie. "Look at all the trouble we as guys get ourselves into over girls. I swear, we wouldn't go and do half the stuff we do if it weren't for trying to win them over." But, that's just me, and if you've ever had the ... "blessing" *cough* of meeting my best friend, you'll understand that he's always acting a fool because he thinks it makes him look good to girls, so I just notice things like that.
The other thing it's left me saying is: "I want to go back and watch it already!" ....started saying that 5 minutes after I got out of the theater, still saying it today.
That's my summary/review of it for now. I really enjoyed it, but I liked the first 2 as well. So I guess it really depends on what works for you...

I've never been able to sit through a full Indiana Jones movie. They just didn't capture my attention. I like that kind of thing, but to me the movies just sucked and I couldn't pay attention for all of one. =\

*remembers watching Indiana Jones as a kid*
Oh, those are great films, Seffy! I'm interested in seeing where they go with the fourth one.
Hmm, okay, obscure me ... I like the Evil Dead films because a) Bruce Campbell frelling rocks! b) the first two freak you out even though they're so blasted cheesy compared to films these days c) Sam Raimi (Spiderman director) made 'em ... need I say more on that?
Other than that, I'm not a big Star Wars fan at all. I do enjoy the Trek films though, especially with TNG crew. Watched all 4 of those in a week this summer.
